The Grand Strand is 60 miles long. The 60 mile stretch of beaches on the SC coastline do not have any barrier islands. Most of the Grand Strand beaches have lifeguards on duty during the summer months. The area has over 120 golf courses from Georgetown to Little River. Most resorts offer golf packages and are referred to as a Golfotel. Grand Strand Resorts include Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Litchfield Beach and Pawleys Island. They are located north of Charleston.
