Folly Beach South Carolina Tourism

Folly Beach is the closest beach to Charleston SC. It is a very popular beach for surfing and night life. There are 5 miles of beaches, golf, public tennis courts, a fishing pier and the sunsets are spectacular here.

At Folly Beach, public beach access is at Country park where there are showers, restrooms, picnic areas and a boardwalk. Lifeguards are on duty during the tourist season. There is a parking fee too. Come play in the sand and surf. Build sand castles. Frolic in the ocean waves. Fly kites. Go surfing, boating, sailing or just sit in the sun and relax.

 

There are family beach house rentals available through local real estate agencies. There are also some really good seafood restaurants here. Folly Beach claims to have the longest pier on the US east coast. The pier is about 1000 ft long. Go fishing, surfing, play tennis ....
