About Kiawah Island South Carolina

Kiawah Island is 21 miles south of Charleston South Carolina. The island has about 10 miles of beaches.  There are championship golf courses on the island. The 2007 Senior PGA Championship will be hosted here.

 You can go fishing, boating, biking, play tennis and more. Public access beach is at Kiawah Island’s Beachwalker Park. The island also has residential districts, spas and some good seafood restaurants.

Tourist Attractions Near Kiawah

Beachwalker Park is on the ten best beaches in the US. It is located on the southern end of Kiawah Island just 25 miles from Charleston. You can golf, play tennis, kayak, canoe, birdwatch, bike on the beach or take a nature tour. This is a public beach with showers, restrooms, a boardwalk, picnic areas and parking. There are lifeguards on duty during the tourist season too. A nice place to spend a day in the sun and surf.
