About Kitty Hawk NC Attractions
Kitty Hawk is located on the NC Outer Banks next to Kill Devil Hills. It is most famous for the Wright brothers first flight in a glider. There are about 3.5 miles of beaches here. There are restrooms, parking, lifeguards, fishing, dunes, showers and a bath house here.
The Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Preserve is nearby. This is a maritime forest with a swamp and marsh. Wildlife in the area are: deer, otters, birds, waterfowl, wood ducks, song birds, herons, egrets and more. There are hiking trails here too.
