Hatteras Ferry

Posted in north carolina beaches, wildlife at 6:34 pm by admin

The Hatteras Ferry goes from Hatteras Village to Ocracoke Island. The ferry service is first come first serve. It departs every  30 minutes and is available from the middle of April until the middle of October. Whats really cool about the ride is that sea gulls follow the boat hoping you will feed them. Some of the birds are tame enough to eat from your hands.
