In about a month, we plan on going to the beach for vacation. Our destination will be Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. My brother has a timeshare he hasn’t used this year and wont have the time to use. The timeshare can be used virtually anywhere. They have many condos in Hilton Head and other places on the South Carolina coast. Whether they will be available or not is not known. Since my brother lives out of town, its difficult for him to get the info to me. Hopefully, there will be a place available for the time we will be going. We’d be able to stay longer and maybe eat out a few nights too. If we cant stay at the timeshare, we will most likely stay at the Weston Resort. We were quite pleased with the resort last year.

There are several waterparks around the Charleston area. Splash Island Waterpark is near Mt. Pleasant in the Palmetto Islands County Park. There is a 200 ft. waterslide here and more fun things to do. Splash Zone Waterpark is near Charleston in the James Island County Park. there are tube slide, waterfalls, a pool. a lazy river ride and more. The Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark is near North Charleston in the Wannamaker County Park. There are 15 acres of water play including waterslides, wave pool, tube slides, lazy river rides and more.

Battery Park in Charleston South Carolina is located on the Ashley and Cooper Rivers. During the Civil War, this location was strategic in the defense of the city against Union troops. The park includes beautiful White Point gardens. From the park, you can see Fort Sumter, the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point, Sullivan’s Island and Fort Moultrie.
