I know its sounds early to be writing about Christmas, but its really just around the corner. Charleston at Christmas is beautiful. The city lights up Marion Square with over 10,000 lights for the holiday season. then the tree of lights has about 7,000. King street is decorated for festive shopping. The area plantation homes dress up in period decorations for the holidays too.

isle of Palms SC beach vacation ideas

Posted in charleston sc, south carolina beaches at 2:10 pm by admin

The Isle of Palms is located north of Sullivan’s Island off the coast of South Carolina near Charleston. It has some beautiful beaches here. When we visited Charleston, we went to the Isle of Palms. My husband fished off the bridge while me and the kids played at the beach far from the bridge. (Be aware that its dangerous to swim near inlets.) Palm trees line the streets here. There are marinas, restaurants and shops. You can play golf. You can rent a private home, villa or stay at a hotel.
