Romantic Beaches NC & SC beach resorts

I wouldn’t say Myrtle Beach SC would classify as a romantic destination. Last time I visited Myrtle Beach, I remember lots of people partying to all hours of the night. A romantic destination would be a quiet place where you could pay attention to one another. Someplace like Nags Head on the North Carolina Outer Banks or even Charleston. Now, Charleston is a big city port, but it has the old southern charm with its historic district and its horse and buggy tours. I read somewhere that you could have your wedding ceremony at an old plantation home complete with antebellum costumes. Now that would be something you might want to check out.

hilton head island sc wedding destination

When we went to Hilton Head Island South Carolina last year, there was a couple getting married at the resort. The wedding party looked very nice in their formal attire. They got married at sunset. After the wedding ceremony, the couple went to the beach to have their pictures taken. The bride wore a traditional long white dress. I thought how is she going to get the sand out of that dress but I guess wedding pictures with the beauty of the ocean at sunset was more important. They were already at their honeymoon destination. Now, that would make a better honeymoon … no traveling.
