The Pamlico Scenic byway is located along the Pamlico sound and river on the North Carolina Coast. It is a beautiful route to follow if you aren’t in a hurry. The route is 127 miles in length. There are several colonial historical sites as well as beautiful coastal views. Its well worth the trip. The area was named for an Indian tribe that used to live here.

You can do something different for entertainment every night of the week on Hilton head island if you like. Some Night clubs have live music, a dj, dance floors, dining and more. You can listen to big band, jazz and contemporary music. Many of the area hotels and restaurants offer live entertainment so you wont have to venture far. There’s plenty to do even after the sun goes down. When we visited last summer, every tuesday, there was a fireworks display at Shelter Cove. We were able to see the fireworks from our hotel room.

the best way to tour hilton head island is to take a boat tour. This is a fantastic scenic tour from the ocean. Relax and have fun. Enjoy the scenery. There are several locations around the island where you can take a cruise tour. Try Harbour Town, south Beach Village or Shelter cove harbor. You can take a sunset dinner cruise for a romantic getaway too. Boats leave at different times during the day. You might want to call ahead and reserve your spot.
